Writer's Block: Desert island

List three books that have changed your life:

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I read this book when I was young(probably too young). While I was an avid pleasure reader by that point, reading this was the first time I considered the power of language and the written word. This idea would shape how I read books and viewed life from then on.

Nickolas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie

This is still one of my favorite history books, but it sparked my fascination with Russian history, which is my minor.

Looking for Alaska by John Green

The book is amazing, but it is important mainly because googleing it is how I became a nerdfighter back in 2007.
Would you change anything about your significant other? What would it be?

Absolutely not. In the end, I do not crave perfection. I can't think of anyone I know who does. We crave something else entirely. It doesn't matter if it is comfort or excitement; it isn't perfection. We need differences even if that means disagreements. We need things we love and things we hate. It is what makes the person you are with whole.

Writer's Block: All by myself

What’s one thing that you love to do all by yourself?

Read, especially things like textbooks when I need to focus or fanfiction when I think someone would judge me.

Writer's Block: Once upon a time…

What is the first line of your favorite book?

One hundred thirty-six days before

Writer's Block: A stroll down memory lane

Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?

Lose all old ones. I keep daily journals; so, I'll just read those and with my power of forming new memories, I'll learn what happened. Boom!

<3 my buddies

"I just didn't want to damage your book."

"It's cool. It's a schoolbook."

"It's a schoolbook? Never mind then. I'd wipe my butt on that."
What are your best and worst personality traits? Do you think your friends would agree?

My best trait is my ability to function in difficult circumstances. No matter what is happening in my life I can adjust, pick up the pieces, and keep moving. Last year should certainly be proof of that.

My worst is my emotional insecurity. I never feel good enough or strong enough or kind enough or firm enough or anything enough. I have a long list of reasons why I feel like that. Because of it, I constantly feel like a burden to those closest to me or just a weirdo to those I want to get to know.

As for what my friends would say, it would be a mixed bag. I have enough good and bad qualities for everyone to have their own, but I think a few would agree with one, the other, or both.

Dear Russian Language Class,

Stop making me cry and curl into a ball and wish everything were over forever.
